Dr. Ernesto L. Sarduy, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is an experienced psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner serving patients at South Florida Psychiatry in Miami, Florida. At the practice, Dr. Sarduy provides compassionate and thorough care to every patient he sees.
Dr. Sarduy has been caring for veterans with trauma and mental illness at the Miami VA Medical Center since 2017 and was recognized as the first psychiatric nurse practitioner resident in the history of the Miami VA.
More recently, as the COVID-19 pandemic increased the risk for suicide in veterans, Dr. Sarduy conducted a clinical project at the VA to develop a new protocol for the care of veterans who test positive for suicidal ideations using an algorithm he also created.
Dr. Sarduy plans to continue his work to improve mental health outcomes and well-being for veterans and the community.

Glenda Ybarra is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner qualified to deliver specialized medical care, with a primary focus on intervention through psychotherapy and psychopharmacology. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Miami-Dade College through the Baptist Health Nurse Scholars Program. As a Registered Nurse at Baptist Hospital of Miami, she began providing care for patients with diverse disorders. Following the completion of her Master of Science in Nursing from West Coast University, she became a member of the South Florida Psychiatry team, where she is dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and creating a comfortable atmosphere for her clients. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she provides medical care to a diverse community with the objective of empowering patients to enhance their mental well-being, delivering exceptional and quality care. Hailing from Miami, they spent five years as a registered nurse caring for patients across diverse settings such as medical-surgical, oncology, infusion, and psychiatry. Driven by a desire to specialize in psychiatry, they pursued and attained a Master of Science in Nursing degree as a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner from Florida International University.
